San Francisco Tour

-Written by Denise Moriarty

The troop decided to hold our fifth Tuesday event (the troop does not have a regular troop meeting during months where there are five Tuesdays but instead goes on a fun outing) on November 8th and we decided to take a tour of San Francisco with Mr. Toad’s Tour.  It was a beautiful San Francisco fall evening. We rode in style, in pre 1930’s vintage, open aired, touring cars which run on clean propane fuel.

As we sipped Ghirardelli hot cocoa and ate peppermint bark we traveled through the city by the bay gazing at the beautiful sites and admiring the city lights. We traveled along Fisherman’s Wharf, through North Beach, Chinatown, the Embarcadero, the Financial District, and up Nob Hill to see the elegant hotels. We saw many places of historical significance. It was fun riding up and down the hills watching the cable cars go by. It was a 90 minute evening to remember.  Mr. Toad’s Tour is a family run business and Eric Lundquist who is one of the owners is a T27 alumni.
